Weaver must have naked pictures of the coach. Team worse -13. Campbell is a defensive liabality and overrated offensively. He couldn't hit someone if he clapped their hands. Jovo is old and slow. Huberdeau looks lost. Tallon says with our depth , it cause competition but I don't see any competition. Finally we need an offensive assistant coach to coach the pp not skrudland and madden. And here is the biggest problem with this team. Our scouting dept blows, it's obvious looking at the last 10 yrs plus. How the hell do theses people keep their jobs?

Honest question here, since you have had a stockpile of good young drafted talent over years and only a select few have emerged to their potential.

Is it time to maybe look at your development system of players? It looks like its Bryan McCabe who is in charge of your player development and some guy named Luce as your director of scouting. Maybe they way they have been looking how to bring players up needs to change.

And Dan.. I am always a fan of your writing, but this article was just not what needed to happen. All it does is bring the tools who clog our roads during the entire hockey season in to complain about hockey down here..

And while we're at it, since we have been in the league, which organization has accomplished more? Have you been the Eastern Conference Champs? Been to the Finals? Even had the Cup in your arena when it wasn't there for a photo-op? I didn't think so. No one brought up prospects. And I'd argue that the garbage we had in the office was the reason none of the prospects worked out. You're nuts if you don't think guys like Huberdeau, Barkov, Bjugstad, and Gudbranson are going to lead this team in the future. It's cool.. Kadri will be the next Sundin, don't worry

It's not all about players. Yes, you need a team full of great players. The key word that's over-looked is TEAM. I'll tell you as a Flyers fans right now, it's not all about talent. The Flyers have plenty of talent, but their not a "team" like the Bruins, Kings, Blues, Hawks etc. There needs to be near precise cohesion, game in and game out.

Not to mention world class personnel from top to bottom between player development, scouting, coaching and upper management. Oh, and don't forget a dash of luck.

The Avalanche this year are all first time coaches.
Roy, Tourigny, Army (he actually came in the lockout shorten season), Duhamel, and Foote. François Allaire is the only expereince guy on this coaching staff

Can't trade him. You don't win in today's nhl by trading young players like Eric who will be an RFA. His slight decline gives the Panthers leverage, a bit, and he'll be resigned.

Yes it's your play that's the issue. It was a simple question or comment that players don't perform in Fort Lauderdale. You guys don't rebuild, you don't make the playoffs. You don't do anything at all really.
